Hi everyone! My name is Calista Papaefthimiou, I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from York University. I have experience working with youth, families, adults and seniors in a variety of settings and with various life experiences. I take a compassionate approach to therapy to build strong, trusting relationships with clients. My goal in our sessions is to create a warm, judgement free space, where we can collaborate together on your healing journey. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as we explore the best ways to support you in reaching your goals and creating a path toward improved well-being. My clinical practice is grounded in client-centered, trauma-informed care. I integrate a range of evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and strengths-based modalities. I support clients navigating a variety of areas, such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, or behavioural changes. No two people are the same, thus, therapy must be tailored to fit your unique needs and goals. If I am given the opportunity to work with you, I will strive to adapt our sessions to what feels most helpful for you.
